He's embarrassed about that and always says we met through mutual friends. Which is true, in a way. It turned out that we did indeed have mutual friends (but they hadn't thought to introduce us), and we lived within 5 minutes from each other. 2. How long have you known each other? Jan tagged me for the Favorite Gifts meme. Hmmm, this one's not easy for me, but I'll give it a go. Name five of your favorite all time gifts, either given or gotten. In no particular order... 1. A container of dirt. Sounds funny, I know. I was in group therapy for two years. It was through that group that my sense of self strengthened tremendously. Anyway, when you leave a group like that there's a leaving ritual that takes place and the group members all say goodbye, etc. etc. Some people gave me a going-away gift, and the gift from my therapist (the one I still see, MR) was a little container of dirt. It was the "earth" from a very special place for her, a place in New Mexico that is said to have special healing properties. Are you looking forward to any of the new films? The last movie we saw, just this week in fact, was "3:10 to Yuma." Western remake with Russell Crowe and Christian Bale. Bale's performance was especially good. D and I both liked it (in the sense that it was entertaining and thought provoking), but neither of us thought it was a 'great' movie. I don't think I've seen a 'great' movie in the theaters for a LONG time. Looking forward to another movie about Elizabeth I. D tells me it will be out this Fall sometime.
